Tanglewood Contemporary

Houston, Texas

This hardworking couple moved from a large single-family home into a smaller mid-rise condominium so that they could simplify their lives and make it easier to leave the city when they got the urge travel.

Our client wanted their new space to be clean and open with contemporary styling that is easy to maintain but dramatic for entertaining. The soft, contemporary detailing includes white Wood-Mode, high-gloss painted cabinets and dark rich-wood accent panels.

LED lighting adds a luminous glow to countertops and highlights the space below the peninsula countertop facing the living area. The floor throughout the condo is a rich, hardwood that unifies the space with a warm and natural tone.

The design also includes some surprises, like a full-size walk-in pantry/utility room combination hidden behind the dark kitchen-cabinet door panels. Hardworking, high-end appliances by SubZero and Wolf and easy-care quartz countertops with waterfall edges are the core focal points of the kitchen.
